Le riz collant à la mangue - Sticky rice with mangoes

Il est de tout petits marchés, humbles, bon enfant, où l'on peut acheter ses légumes et sa viande pour le lendemain et y prendre une collation. Toutes les fins d'après-midi, vers 17h00, ce petit marché situé sur la route du canal (Klong road), à 700 ou 800 m au nord du feu de circulation, s'anime et les motorbikes y convergent et s'agglutinent.
Outre nos courses, nous y avons déniché un dessert que nous aimons bien: Le Khao niao mamuang. C'est une poignée de riz collant, arrosée de crème de coco épaisse bien sucrée, servi avec de la mangue. Un vrai régal.


It's about small markets, humble, pleasant, where you can buy vegetables and meat for the next day and take a snack. At the end of afternoon, around 5:00 pm, this small market located on the route of the canal (Klong road), 700 or 800 m north of the traffic light, comes alive and the motorbikes are converging and congregate.
In addition to our shopping, we have digged out a dessert that we like: the Khao niao mamuang. It is a handful of sticky rice watered with sweet thick Coconut cream and served with mango. A real treat.
